Ayurvedic Bodywork

Restore your nervous system. Support your body's natural healing.

Ayurvedic bodywork is far more than massage.

These traditional therapies have been practised in India for thousands of years to nourish the body, calm the nervous system, improve circulation, support detoxification and encourage the body's innate capacity to heal.

Whether you're feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, inflamed, experiencing chronic pain, or simply craving deep rest, there is a treatment designed to meet you where you are.

Not sure which treatment is right for you? Below you'll find a simple guide to each therapy.

Ayurvedic bodywork

Abhyanga

Best for: Stress, burnout, fatigue, poor sleep, anxiety and general wellbeing

This is where most people begin.

Abhyanga is a full-body warm oil treatment using long, rhythmic strokes that calm the nervous system while nourishing the tissues. It encourages deep relaxation, improves circulation, supports healthy lymphatic flow and leaves you feeling grounded and restored.

Choose from:

75 Minute Abhyanga
Perfect if you're looking for a regular nervous system reset.

90 Minute Abhyanga
Includes additional time to work more deeply, allowing the body to completely unwind.

Ideal if you're experiencing:

  • Stress or anxiety

  • Burnout

  • Difficulty sleeping

  • Hormonal imbalance

  • A need for a deep detox

  • Feeling depleted

  • Dry skin

  • General tension

  • Wanting regular preventative care

External Basti Ayurvedic Bodywork

External Basti

Best for: Chronic pain, injury support and joint health

External Basti is a deeply nourishing treatment that holds warm, medicated oil over a specific area of the body. A small reservoir is created over the area, allowing the warmth and therapeutic qualities of the oil to be absorbed into the tissues.

It may be used over the lower back, knees, shoulders or neck to help relieve discomfort, stiffness and localised tension. When applied over the lower abdomen as a womb basti, the treatment offers warmth and support to the pelvic region. It may be particularly nurturing during times of menstrual discomfort, hormonal change, pelvic tension or emotional depletion.

The warmth and stillness of the treatment can also help settle the nervous system, making it a beautiful option for those experiencing stress, restlessness or disrupted sleep. While it does not directly “balance hormones,” it may support hormonal wellbeing indirectly through deep rest, nourishment and nervous system regulation.

Ideal if you’re experiencing:

  • Lower back, knee, shoulder or neck pain

  • Joint stiffness or degeneration

  • Long-standing injuries

  • Localised inflammation or muscular tension

  • Menstrual discomfort or pelvic tension

  • Hormonal changes, including perimenopause

  • Stress, nervous system depletion or difficulty sleeping

  • A need for grounding, warmth and deep rest

patra Poulti Ayurvedic Bodywork and Massage

Patra Poultice Therapy

Best for: Muscle pain, stiffness and inflammation

Patra Poultice Therapy combines warm herbal poultices with medicated oils to soothe aching muscles and joints while encouraging circulation and mobility.

The warmth penetrates deeply into the tissues, making this an excellent treatment for people living with chronic muscular tension, sports recovery or arthritic conditions.

Ideal if you're experiencing:

  • Neck and shoulder tension

  • Lower back pain

  • Arthritis

  • Muscle soreness

  • Restricted movement

  • Chronic stiffness

Poulti
Shirodhara Ayurvedic Head Treatment

Shirodhara

Best for: Stress, insomnia, mental exhaustion and an overactive mind

One of Ayurveda's most profoundly calming therapies.

A continuous stream of warm oil is gently poured across the forehead, encouraging the nervous system to move into a deeply restorative state.

Many people describe Shirodhara as feeling like meditation without having to meditate.

It is particularly supportive during periods of overwhelm, grief, hormonal change or prolonged stress.

Ideal if you're experiencing:

  • Insomnia

  • Anxiety

  • Mental fatigue

  • Overthinking

  • Nervous system dysregulation

  • Burnout
