Abhyanga Practitioner Training

60-Hour Abhyanga Practitioner Training This immersive 60-hour practitioner training is designed for yoga teachers, Ayurvedic practitioners, bodyworkers, wellness professionals and devoted students who feel called to offer Abhyanga as a deeply nourishing therapeutic practice. Rooted in the classical wisdom of Āyurveda and the healing lineage of the Raju family, this training explores Abhyanga as far more than an oil massage. Students will learn to understand the body through an Ayurvedic lens, considering the doshas, subdoshas, dhatus, agni, ama, marma points, nervous system health and the movement of prāṇa. Across six days of practical, in-person training and supplementary online learning, students will develop the knowledge and hands-on skills required to offer a complete full-body Abhyanga treatment. The training covers treatment preparation, oil selection and application, practitioner technique, client care, draping, contraindications, hygiene, consultation processes and professional boundaries. This online component provides the essential theoretical foundations for our in-person immersion. It will introduce the Ayurvedic principles that inform Abhyanga and help you understand its therapeutic purpose within a broader approach to health and wellbeing. Following the immersion, students will complete ten full-body Abhyanga case studies to consolidate their learning and develop confidence through practice. Upon successful completion of all online, in-person and case study requirements, students will receive certification in Abhyanga practice. Spaces are intentionally limited to preserve the intimate, practical and highly supported nature of the training.
